Dr. Tuan Vo

Dr. Tuan was born and raised in Vietnam and in 2005, his whole family moved to the U.S. Because he didn’t know much English at the time, he began his educational journey by taking ESL (English as a Second Language) classes at a local community college. Dr. Tuan’s hard work and determination soon paid off and he transferred to the University of California, Davis to complete his Bachelor in Molecular Cell Biology. After graduation, Dr. Tuan worked as a researcher in the Genome center for two years before getting accepted to the prestigious New York University, College of Dentistry and moving to NYC. During his first year in dental school, he discovered a great love for the science and art of Dentistry and it has stuck with him ever since!

Dr. Tuan loves that as a passionate dentist, he is able to combine his knowledge of science, medicine, and mechanics as well as utilize his artistic skills and craftsmanship. He truly enjoys problem-solving and helping his patients achieve optimal oral health. In an effort to stay up to date on the latest dental techniques and technology, Dr. Tuan attends hundreds of hours of continuing education courses each year on topics such as cosmetics, complex dental rehabilitation, and dental implants. He completed the yearlong implant fellow and master implant program with the prestigious NYU Dental XP and is currently holding the titles of Implant Master and Fellow with the International Congress of Oral Implantologists (ICOI). When he is not in the office, Dr. Tuan enjoys spending quality time with his family, hiking, working out, reading, and traveling.

Take-Home & In-Office Whitening

We offer both take-home and in-office whitening. In-office whitening is done by Dr. Tuan using chemical whiteners and a UV (ultraviolet) light, which helps excite the whitening compound for faster results. It’s an ideal choice for patients who have an important event coming up and want to quickly whiten their teeth.

Take-home whitening is a good option for patients who want to subtly and gradually whiten their teeth. You’ll receive a set of custom whitening trays from Dr. Tuan after having impressions taken of your teeth. Then, you’ll get your whitening compound. Simply follow Dr. Tuan’s instructions and whiten your teeth in the comfort of your own home, usually for about 1 hour per day for 2-3 weeks.

3d cbct scanning

CBCT scans (cone beam computed tomography) help Dr. Tuan see a detailed view of your mouth by creating an accurate 3-D image. This is also a useful tool for patient education as you’ll also be able to better see the structure of your own mouth.

Dr. Tuan offers all new patients with insurance a complimentary 3D scan and evaluation. He will go over your scan with you to help educate you about your current oral health condition and identify any potential problems. Additionally, complimentary 3-D scan evaluations are available during consultations for extractions, dental implants, root canal therapy, and orthodontics.
